As a serious global player in the engineering and training world, OEL were looking to ensure that their marketing reflected their core values and provided a clear representation of them.
The tender process started off with a very specific brief, but being what we are we worked closely ( they would perhaps say pestered! ) with OEL on looking at ways of developing their brief and perhaps changing it a little bit to fit their needs.
All of this before we'd even shook hands.
Having came up with a comprehensive strategy, including design solutions, it was decided that as they were at the top of the market, we should aim to mark them out as something a bit special and create a strong association between their new branding and what they did.
Moving away from the stereo typical CAD drawings and 1970's British Leyland style images was key to this, and we came up with a unique, powerful brand concept to carry across all divisions. Modern, fresh, high quality and flexible.
This had it's first showing to the world at a Milan trade show and was certainly favourably received.
This entire concept is now being carried through onto a wide range of print materials as well as the new websites.
